Student Guidelines
2007/2008

1.

Dress Code: Dance attire must enable the teacher to view the body movement. Students may wear bodysuits, dance pants, leotards, etc. No long T-shirts! The teacher needs to see the hips of the student. Any student not wearing the proper attire, will not be able to take class that day. This will be strictly enforced!!

Footwear: Please consult the teacher regarding the exact type of dance shoe that is required for each class before purchasing them.

3.
|
All Students must wear their hair tied up and away from their face. No student will be allowed to wear large hoop or dangle earrings, or chains around their neck in class. For safety reasons, we ask students to leave their jewelry at home as we cannot be held responsible for lost items.

Chewing gum is not allowed in class. Food and drinks are not allowed in the dance area with the exception of Water. A designated area will be used for dance bags, etc.

5.
|
Students should be quiet and courteous upon entering the building and waiting for their classes to begin. Many activities and lessons are going on in the building.
|
|
6.
|
A parent may either drop off their child and return to pick them up later, or wait in the designated waiting area. Parents are not allowed in the dance area except for the final 5 minutes of class during the last class of the month. The exception is for 2-3 year olds, whose parents may observe on a schedule that may be different for each child.

7.
|
All students are asked to be very cafeul climbing up and down the stairs. Please use the handrails at all times. Same applies to the stage.
|
|
8.
|
Please call and/or e-mail if you are going to be absent. If you are going to be out, vacation, etc. let me know ahead.
